READDDD. & listen
i've thrown myself into a reading frenzy and i cant begin to describe how much i love books.
reading books (only those written by a good author) is a whole lot like watching a movie. except its all in your head, all the background, characters' faces and emotions, their actions and voice piece together quickly as you read and its like streaming a movie, a much more vivid movie free to be explored by your imagination
i read all 4 books of the twilight series and just bought two more books by Jodi Picoult today, using up all my Times book voucher.
i am so very overwhelmed from reading, especially the twilight series, considering how i've been reading it almost non stop. anw, the point is almost every move i make or notice is subconsciously converted into words and sentences in my head.
and when i watch videos i'd wonder how a good author would describe the characters' emotion, eyes, face, whatever if it was written in a book.
so anyhow, i still think Picoult is the best damn writer i've ever come across.
followed closely by Sidney Sheldon. but i can no longer seem to find his books off the library's shelf. sigh.
Stephanie Meyer is of course very good too. I really enjoyed the intense love story between edward and bella, i was even almost lost in the fantasy world and believed vampires exist. -.- i know. just ALMOST.
i was quite looking forward to see how she'd describe the sex scene between a stone cold vampire and a delicate and warm human. but she leaves that out entirely (most likely because the book is meant for young teenagers' reading). NOT that i NEED to read that part you know, its just that the story is quite incomplete without it.
okay forget about books.
i watched Body of Lies today.
there was these two sonofabitches sitting in front and behind of me in the cinema.
the one behind kept kicking the back of my seat oblivious of my frustrations.
to make things worse bf just kept showing this '
i told you so' face just because earlier on when buying the tickets he emphasized to me to take the last row seats but apparently i chose the seats i THOUGHT was best.
i scowled at that shitfaced moron a couple of times but i guess he either didnt see me in the dark or he just deserves me calling him an inconsiderate piece of shat.
the idiot sitting in front of me obviously didnt irritate the shit out of me by kicking my seat. he merely blocked part of my view of the screen. not by a lot but enough to irk me. its just irritating to have this semi circle hovering at the bottom of the screen while watching the movie.
RIGHT. blame it on my shortness and pickiness if you will. but fuck you. normal people dont watch movies sitting upright. and normal people sure as hell do not have such big heads.
the movie. very sophisticated. there's a bit of spoilers i think.
X and Y were fighting, B came up with a super brilliant plan to lie to Y to hunt them down and eliminate them. In the midst of it B lies to D and D is unhappy because D emphasized that B is not to lie to him no matter what. very unfortunately B's plan went horribly wrong and B's beloved E got kidnapped by anonymous someone who B thought is Y. To save E, B surrended himself and was crippled in two fingers. in the end it turns out that D is the ultimate big fat liar who betrayed B, almost killing him, to claim credit for the capture of Y.i dont know how accurate it is. because the movie was too damn complicated. haha. plus all the distractions (think: the two bitches).
